SILVERTON, Ore. — The Silverton Emergency Preparedness Fair drew residents to the City Hall parking lot at 410 N Water St. on Saturday, offering critical resources and information as wildfire season intensifies across the region. Held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 12, 2025, the event featured presentations from community partners focusing on wildfire prevention, health and safety protocols, and livestock and pet evacuation plans.


The fair, organized by the Silverton Fire District, aimed to equip attendees with the tools to stay informed and safe amid rising fire risks.Attendees explored practical tips, including how to create defensible spaces around properties and prepare emergency kits.
